Neighbors Helping Neighbors Scholarship

This initiative is part of our commitment to support the families we serve by investing in the very future of their children. The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to help these young individuals pursue their academic dreams and career ambitions. We believe in the power of education to transform lives and are excited to help ease the financial burden on our clients’ families, making their goals more accessible.

Scholarship Amount: Decided annually
Two scholarships were awarded in 2025: one to a student attending college and the other to a student entering a trade/technical school.

Scholarship Timeline: Opens in May 2026 and will close in July 2026

Scholarship Criteria:

    • The scholarship is only available to children of current ECCO clients
    • Children must reside within ECCO’s 10 zip codes (Click here to learn more).
    • Available to those students who will attend college or a trade/technical school.
    • A panel of volunteer educators (non-ECCO staff members) will select the scholarship recipients.
    • Funds will be awarded directly to the school/organization/agency by ECCO.


To Apply: Applicants must complete a scholarship application with two short essay prompts. There is a 500-word max response for each prompt. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
