Financial Assistance

Each year, thousands of hardworking individuals and families in our community find themselves in an unexpected financial crisis. Whether facing illness, vulnerable to losing a home, finding yourself unemployed, or simply just unable to make ends meet, ECCO is here for those in need of emergency financial assistance. To find out more and fill out an application to see if you qualify, please visit our Financial Assistance page.

Additionally, ECCO partners with agencies across the Lowcountry to help provide financial assistance and benefits. Below are a few of the agencies we can refer you to for assistance services:

Established in 1995 to prevent homelessness by providing emergency financial assistance, the organization pays one-time costs such as rental/utility deposits, overdue rent, and mortgage payments, if the recipient can demonstrate an ability to otherwise make ends meet. You will need a referral from ECCO to obtain these services. If you need help, please call ECCO at (843) 849-9220 for a referral to ShelterNet and the services they provide.

This international nonprofit organization has a rich history of providing for its communities. Conferences throughout the Lowcountry provide financial assistance to local neighbors. You will need a referral from ECCO to obtain these services. Call ECCO today at (843) 849-9220 to find out which SVdP conference you may be eligible to receive assistance from at this time.

Temporary assistance for local families in need may be available through SC Thrive. You do not need a referral from ECCO to obtain these services. Please visit their website or call SC Thrive today at 1-800-726-8774 for more information and to learn how you might qualify for their services.

Check back as we will continue to add new partners throughout the year.
