Client Navigator
East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) is currently hiring for Client Navigator.
About East Cooper Community Outreach: Founded as an emergency relief effort in 1989 after the devastation from Hurricane Hugo, East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) has since grown into a permanent resource for the community with a mission to provide assistance, guidance, and resources to help our neighbors navigate through life’s challenges. Annually, over 2,000 families receive help through ECCO’s Wellness Pantry, Financial Assistance, Dental & Medical Clinics, Prescription Assistance, Clothing Closet, Asset Development Program, and other services. Enhanced through personal interactions with staff who provide individualized support and coaching for each client, ECCO meets each client where they are and helps them navigate the challenges they are facing with care and compassion. ECCO is also a place where people who want to help their neighbors can find meaningful ways to share their time, talent, and treasure. Position Summary
The Client Navigator has three main responsibilities: Client Services, Community Partnerships and Referrals, and Training/Assisting Volunteers and AmeriCorps Member. This position is responsible for conducting initial assessments and re-assessments that will identify client needs and barriers affecting financial stability, while offering referrals to resources that will lead to positive changes towards self-sufficiency.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $43,222 – $47,544
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree or Certification
- 1 year of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications: Additional skills, knowledge, and attributes that will support the successful completion of position responsibilities.
- Previous experience addressing the needs of vulnerable populations and those experiencing financial distress while working in a non-profit outreach setting
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software and Google’s workspace
- Capable of learning a donor database program
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. This is largely a sedentary role; however, standing and walking may be occasionally required for client interaction and/or special event participation. The position frequently communicates with employees, volunteers, and clients; the ability to exchange accurate information in these situations is required.
Supervisory Requirements: None
Typical work hours are between 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM – 4 PM on Fridays. Additionally, all staff are required to attend occasional special events in the evenings or on weekends. A modified work schedule may be required during construction.

Position Summary
The Clinic Office Manager oversees daily operations of our free clinics that provide medical and dental services. The vision of this client-facing service area is to deliver accessible, compassionate, and high-quality medical and dental care by providing resources to enhance and empower the health and well-being of our community. This position confidently ensures service excellence, supervises two part-time staff, streamlines admin/intake processes, optimizes patient scheduling and fosters collaboration to enrich patient experiences. To successfully oversee these services to the uninsured, the Clinic Office Manager must prioritize patient care, understand unified care processes, navigate multiple programs/systems and facilitate provider-organization partnerships to execute ECCO’s mission.

Salary Range: $23.77 – $26.75
Classification: Part-Time, 29 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration OR
- High School Diploma 3+ years managing a dental (highly preferred) or medical clinic
Preferred Qualifications: Additional skills, knowledge, and attributes that will support the successful completion of position responsibilities.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems (Practice Fusion, Open Dental)
- Experience in working with vulnerable populations preferred
- Great patient/client service skills; able to manage stressful situations when presented
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Detail oriented and organized; proactive planner
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to manage medical records discreetly and professionally
- Effective work habits including time management, teamwork, and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software and Google’s workspace
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Work may involve exposure to potential hazards and communicable diseases. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment and follow appropriate protective measures as needed. Frequent periods of bending, standing, and walking are required. The position frequently communicates with employees, practitioners, volunteers, and clients; the ability to professionally exchange accurate and sensitive information in these situations is required.
Supervisory Requirements: Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff; oversees the daily workflow of the team; manages performance in accordance with ECCO policy for 2 part-time positions.
Schedule: Typical work hours are 9 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional evening hours for clinic coverage.
