Snee Farm residents are making a difference in the East Cooper communities

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Mount Pleasant, South Carolina (February 15, 2021): Recently, at East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO), the Snee Farm neighborhood’s Elfie delivered an $810.00 donation towards ECCO’s mission to provide safety net services to their low-income neighbors, while empowering them to create a better future for themselves, their families, and our community.

Established in 2018, the Elfie initiative helps raise awareness throughout the Snee Farm neighborhood in Mount Pleasant of ECCO’s ministry of providing help and hope to neighbors in need while raising pivotal financial donations towards the nonprofit organization.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support provided by the Snee Farm Elfie initiative. This fun-filled holiday tradition creates memories while also providing critical funds to support the growing needs in our community”, stated ECCO Executive Director Stephanie Kelley. “What a meaningful way to celebrate the Christmas season and proof that when neighbors join together to support a cause, the entire community benefits.”

Jon Tirpak and Robert Fraser, the founding members of the Elfie team, help Elfie move from home to home throughout the Snee Farm neighborhood during Advent, raisings pivotal funds for local neighbors in need. This neighborhood-wide initiative brings joy to homes and provides cheer throughout the holiday season for everyone involved.

In a Christmas where social distancing was encouraged, Elfie stayed safe on lawns across the neighborhood. Elfie has a year to rest before returning for this special project once again in the Snee Farm neighborhood in December of 2021.
