OPIE Drive-Thru Grocery and Cafe Partners with East Cooper Community Outreach to Provide Thanksgiving Turkeys
Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – OPIE Grocery and Cafe is grateful to announce its partnership with East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO). This locally renowned non-profit organization is dedicated to providing assistance, guidance, and resources to help neighbors navigate through life’s challenges.
On Tuesday, November 4, OPIE delivered 100 turkeys to ECCO located at 1145 Six Mile Road in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. ECCO will use the turkeys to distribute to families across the East Cooper communities, as part of their Thanksgiving Meal initiative. This holiday season, ECCO will distribute a turkey (or gift card for a turkey or ham) and assorted sides, to over 600 local families.

“Thanksgiving is a special time of the year for families. That’s why OPIE Drive-ThruGrocery and Cafe’s Harvest Helpers initiative teamed up with ECCO to continue this annual tradition. Our team at OPIE is grateful to be a small part of ECCO’s good work in the Lowcountry this Thanksgiving,” said Bob Algard of OPIE Grocery.
OPIE Drive-Thru Grocery and Cafe is located at 1735 North Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant and operates 24/7. They offer a range of over 5,000 grocery items, from fresh produce, beverages, grass-fed steaks and illy premium coffee. Customers easily place orders at opiestores.com, the OPIE mobile app, or 24/7 Drive-Thru with an OPIE clerk.
“ECCO is incredibly thankful for the team at our local OPIE in Mount Pleasant and their continued partnership for the third year in a row,” said Don Squires, ECCO’s Director of Development & Marketing. “Their generosity helps ease the stress many families feel during the holidays and adds a little extra joy by providing Thanksgiving turkeys to our neighbors.”
