ECCO’s Newly Renovated Campus Opens Doors to Greater Impact

After more than a year behind construction fences and caution tape, ECCO is thrilled to welcome our community back to our newly renovated campus on Six Mile Road! In our first few months of operations, we’ve received an outpouring of positive feedback from our clients, our partners, and our team.

A Year of Resilience and Dedication
Renovating a 23-year-old facility while continuing to meet the needs of thousands of neighbors was no small feat. But thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers, who lived by the motto “Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not get bent out of shape”, we made it through 13 months of active construction accident-free! Their flexibility and commitment ensured our doors remained open to those who needed us most.

Join Us for a September Community Open House
If you haven’t visited yet, we’d love to show you around. This September, ECCO will host Community Open House tours every Friday from 10 AM – 2 PM, with tours starting on the hour. You’ll get to see how your support, whether through financial gifts, food, hygiene items, clothing, or linens, is directly impacting more than 3,000 neighbors from over 1,500 families, including almost 800 children. Meeting Growing Needs in Challenging Times
As we review our impact from the past fiscal year (FY24-25 Impact Numbers), a clear trend has emerged: while the number of families we serve is holding steady, the level of support each family needs is rising. More and more of our neighbors are struggling to avoid eviction or put food on the table.

At the same time, ECCO has seen a decline in both Grocery Bag Sunday food donations, down more than 6,000 pounds since January, and financial contributions. We know these trends reflect the rising costs of goods and services affecting all of us. But for our neighbors, who on average survive on just $17,831 a year, these challenges are even more daunting. Thank You for Being a Neighbor Helping Neighbors
On behalf of the ECCO Board of Directors and staff, thank you for your continued support. It’s because of you that ECCO can provide help and hope to families facing financial hardship. Together, we are making our community stronger.

We hope to see you in September — and we hope you’ll continue to stand with us in meeting the growing needs of our neighbors.
