Adopt-A-Family


ECCO’s 19th annual Adopt-A-Family program is LIVE!

Each year, with community support, the Adopt-A-Family program helps brighten the holiday season for hundreds of children living in the East Cooper communities. Generous donors sign up to adopt a local family and purchase items from their wish list. With ECCO’s help, those gifts are given to local families for children to open on Christmas morning.

Want to help spread holiday cheer? Act fast! Families are adopted quickly.

This program is so popular that we ask each donor to choose just one family at first, so more neighbors can share in the joy. If families are still waiting for a sponsor after a few days, donors are welcome to adopt another.

How to Adopt a Family

  1. Visit roonga.com/eccoaaf2026. Families go live Monday, Nov. 9.
  2. Scroll to Those in Need and click View Details to see a family’s wish list.
  3. Click Select this Profile or the orange Pledge Now button to adopt, then log in or create a free Roonga account.
  4. Watch for an email confirming your family.
  5. Click Print This Profile and bring it to drop-off. Our team uses it to match gifts to the right family.
  6. Shop, and leave gifts unwrapped. Parents receive wrapping supplies so they can wrap gifts themselves.
  7. Drop off gifts at Santa’s Closet in Mount Pleasant, Dec. 1–10, with your printed profile. We’ll email the address and hours to every adopting family before Dec.
