Feed a Family for $35
This Thanksgiving you can make a difference for local families in financial distress.
ECCO needs donations through financial contributions as well as food items to support this year’s Thanksgiving Program. Funds will directly benefit our low-income neighbors for the upcoming holiday season, allowing ECCO to purchase turkeys for as many families as possible. The community impact of ECCO’s Thanksgiving Dinner Program is expected to exceed $25,000 this year. That’s a return of more than 300% for every dollar you donate. All families will receive a Turkey, all the fixings, and dessert.
- $35 will feed a family of 2
- $70 will feed a family of 4
- $105 will feed a family 6
- $140 will feed a family of 8
Or drop off the following Thanksgiving wish list items at ECCO Monday through Friday between 10am and 4pm:
- Frozen Turkeys
- Stuffing Mix*
- Canned Yams or Sweet Potatoes
- Turkey Gravy*
- Canned Fruit (packed in 100% juice)
- Instant Potatoes
- Chicken Broth*
- Canned Pumpkin
(low-sodium if possible)
You can also donate the following items that ECCO needs on a regular basis to help stock the Wellness Pantry shelves:
- More fruits and vegetables
- Landry Detergent
- Household Cleaning Supplies
ECCO’s growing Health and Wellness programs are designed to address food insecurity in the Lowcountry with increased nutritious options while equipping low-income families with the resources and tools to achieve improved health outcomes. The following initiatives are part of the organization’s expansion:
- An additional Partners in HealthCare nurse practitioner clinic day
- Launch of the Client Choice Wellness Pantry
- Enhanced Farmers Markets
- Increased Health Education
- New Periodontal Services in the Dental Clinic
Happy Hour for a Cause
On October 13, ECCO’s young professionals group hosted a happy hour at Ghost Monkey Brewery in Mount Pleasant.
The special event was planned to raise awareness and support for ECCO, specifically to help fund the organization’s Thanksgiving Dinner program that will feed about 520 families this holiday season.

Thanks to event attendees and partners, ECCO’s “Happy Hour for a Cause” generated over $1,200 through raffle tickets, donations, an extended online auction on Bidr.co, and almost $200 from Ghost Monkey Brewery. With gratitude to our community event partners:
