2015 SC Flood – Relief Efforts
We are accepting applications from individuals for financial assistance to help with flood recovery and continue to offer personal hygiene kits, flood clean-up buckets, bedding, clothing, food, water, and more.
Flood victims can visit ECCO for supplies and basic services during regular service hours – Monday through Friday from 10am to 4pm.
Emergency Relief Funds (ERF) are dispersed to individuals and families who have experienced property loss, damage, or residential displacement, once their application has been approved. Applicants must live in the East Cooper area (including Awendaw, Cainhoy, Cordesville, Daniel Island, Huger, Isle of Palms, Jamestown, McClellanville, Mount Pleasant, Shulerville, Sullivan’s Island, or Wando).
The ERF will cover expenses associated with emergency home repair and temporary restoration, temporary housing, replacement of essential belongings, gas for automobiles, and utilities. In order to complete the ERF application, individuals should be prepared to provide adequate documentation that includes a South Carolina driver’s license or photo ID for all household adults, Social Security cards for all household members, a detailed description of property damage/loss with accompanying photographs, your FEMA claim number, and insurance information if applicable. A computer center is available here at our facility if you need to secure any records that were destroyed during the flood.
