  • 250+ active volunteers contributed a total of 21,163 hours, a monetary value of $661,223 during the 2013-2014 fiscal year
  • More than 90% of organizational funds are spent on programs that directly serve low-income families and clients in financial distress through the following program areas:
Basic Needs
  • 400 families a month are served through our Food Warehouse, averaging between 650-900 individuals
  • Over 200,000 pounds of food distributed
  • 5,221 visits to the free clothing store last year
Health Services
  • 1,029 clients treated at the emergency Dental Clinic
  • 253 new patients joined the dental program for preventive/restorative treatment plans
  • 2,330 uninsured and underinsured adults received dental care
  • 4,714 dental procedures administered
  • $1,012,000 is the value of dentistry provided at no cost to ECCO’s clients
  • 700 emergency prescriptions filled
  • $266,339 – the value ECCO saved for clients through enrollment assistance with long-term medication programs
  • 361 patients scheduled with ECCO’s Nurse Practitioners at Partners in HealthCare (our free medical clinic in partnership with MUSC College of Nursing, MUSC Department of Family Medicine, and Roper St. Francis Healthcare)
  • 4,113 health & wellness units of service provided in total
  • 3,008 hours of counseling through Marie Carter & Associates
Empowerment
  • 6 clients received an IDA saving match to use for starting a business, purchasing a home, or towards education
  • 23 participants graduated from the Job Readiness Workshop
  • 74% of clients gained employment through ECCO Works and are still employed today
