Director of Development and Marketing
Alana Morrall joined the team in April 2013 and is responsible for initiating, managing and coordinating all fundraising and marketing efforts at ECCO. With over ten years of field experience in the non-profit sector, her background has been focused in philanthropy and the arts. She completed her undergraduate studies in Music History and Violin at Wake Forest University and received a Masters degree in Arts Management from American University.
Before life in the Lowcountry, Morrall was the Director of Individual and Institutional Giving at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO), one of the nation’s top-tier professional symphony orchestras. She spent six years in a leadership capacity with the BSO, managing annual fund campaigns, events, and special projects. Alana relocated to Charleston in 2011 to work as Director of Development for the newly revitalized Charleston Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and helped to create and implement a comprehensive fundraising program. Additionally, Morrall was an Adjunct Professor at the College of Charleston and taught an introductory course in Arts Management.
Although born and raised in Washington, DC, she has deep roots in the Charleston area, where her father’s family has lived since 1690. Alana now resides on James Island with her fiance and their rescue pup, Bella. She is thrilled to be a part of the ECCO family and to generate support from the community that will make a difference in people’s lives.
